The one below is a subtle, gentle sky. It is one of my favorites but it is so subtle I fear my crappy photography skills do not do it justice.
Again KICKSTARTER LINK is HERE.

The painting to the right is a small postcard sized one that actually looks better in person--well, they generally ALL look better in person. The one below is a subtle, gentle sky. It is one of my favorites but it is so subtle I fear my crappy photography skills do not do it justice. Again KICKSTARTER LINK is HERE.

sky 5 OK these pics seem blurry to me for some reason. Two more smaller paintings. Did a larger one too but it just doesn't look right. Of these two I like the bottom one and am not as big on the top. It needs something. These are "less dramatic" than the ones below. I need to figure a way to make the more subtle ones have some drama. The top one is too abstract. You might not even know it was clouds. The first of the Sky Paintings that are the subject of my latest--and fairly low cost to get funded--Kickstarter. The top three of these are 6x4 inches. They came out a little darker than they are in actuality. I like the top two, am still wondering about the second to last one. It needs a little something! The bottom sky bothers me because it is so light. It is so much more fun to paint a storm. I think it might just need a tiny bit more work. I will resist reaching for the black paint. I was even thinking of using some gouache on that one in addition to the watercolor.... Kickstarter for these paintings again is HERE. More Trees II Some recent Everglades paintings, including a very very late Kickstarter painting for a certain film critic. The two "More Trees" paintings are sort of small and large versions of one another that I painted at the same time. Not sure why they came out looking different. Initially I didn't like the larger painting (#1) but I put it away and then brought it out a week later and thought; "oh, I do like it". The Poisonwood Grove painting is another variation on the theme but minimalist. I want to try to do larger versions of this. Speaking of larger, the painting below, Large Dark Prairie is the biggest watercolor I have done. Yes, it is only like 16x 12 but for me that is pretty big.....I am not sure it is done and I am not entirely sure it is good. |
