These are all of prairie in Everglades National Park. These are vaster than the ones you see right from the road but from other angles you would see things like this.
Again the skies always seem to be interesting down there.

Two Ponds & Purple Flowers Five New 6X4 Everglades paintings. I am trying to make sure the skies are ...interesting. These are all of prairie in Everglades National Park. I call the painting to the left Small Sky. I was looking at photos of the Everglades and the ones I liked best were of the skies. But I hadn't painted any of paintings that were mostly sky. Until this one. The photo looks like shit but trust me...it is a a pretty good little painting. The other one is a Mahogany Stand With Blue Sky. It really should have more ochre in it to be anything close to realistic but NONE of these are REALISTIC so... Seriously...I just couldnt get a good picture of these...Details in each. First of all I have been posting new paintings at Kickstarter, not here. But since the Kickstarter is over I am not transfering my posts of new paintings here. These three are all a bit different. One is a look from the sea at seagrapes, as I imagine it would be. One, well, I made it seagrapes because I lie those trees. They usually are a little further back from the water. Also the sea grass in there...! Sea and Seagrapes with Seagrass is immediately below. Immediately above is A Look From the Coastal Trail. This is one of my favorite places. I always drag people to this trail. There are succulent green plants there and a prairie where you can see stands of trees in the distance. It is beautiful. There is a bigger version of this at the bottom. Below is another mangrove painting. . I call it More Mangroves. I have done several of these. Some large and some small.... Many of the more recent ones I have not liked. They didn't have enough detail or any background. this one I do like!!!
