First of all I have been posting new paintings at Kickstarter, not here. But since the Kickstarter is over I am not transfering my posts of new paintings here.

These three are all a bit different. One is a look from the sea at seagrapes, as I imagine it would be. One, well, I made it seagrapes because I lie those trees. They usually are a little further back from the water. Also the sea grass in there...! Sea and Seagrapes with Seagrass is immediately below.

Immediately above is A Look From the Coastal Trail. This is one of my favorite places. I always drag people to this trail. There are succulent green plants there and a prairie where you can see stands of trees in the distance. It is beautiful. There is a bigger version of this at the bottom.

Below is another mangrove painting. . I call it More Mangroves. I have done several of these. Some large and some small.... Many of the more recent ones I have not liked. They didn't have enough detail or any background. this one I do like!!!

For many years I painted. Then I stopped. These paintings started out a sort of experiment. Even when I did paint I never did watercolor. I spent a lot of time trying to be Van Gogh painting oil. Most of the paintings were unfinished. I decided to start using watercolor based only on the recollections of what my father had tried to teach me years ago. The newer paintings are the more recent. If you go back to the beginning you can see the early stumbling ones.

I didn't start by drawing, I didn't practice. I just painted. I haven't included ALL the paintings and at some point I will post the first ones I did. But most of the paintings--for good or ill are here. Some are oil and also gouache.
