None of these look totally like the actual paintings--they tend to be darker. The group immediately below (and the one above) are all 6x4 postcard sized.

![]() So these are the last group of the sky paintings (excluding the oils). I had a hard time with some of these paintings. There are several that were so "subtle" the photos captured almost nothing. None of these look totally like the actual paintings--they tend to be darker. The group immediately below (and the one above) are all 6x4 postcard sized. Below are images that are 7x 10 1/4 paintings. I am fond of all of these. They are mostly watercolor. I may have uses some gouache here and there but not much. I like using gouache as clouds.

I like the last of the small ones. "It was a dark and stormy night ..."

I love your paintings. So soft and flowing. I would love to see them 30"x 40" or larger completed in acrylic or oil. The larger to me the greater the impact.

For many years I painted. Then I stopped. These paintings started out a sort of experiment. Even when I did paint I never did watercolor. I spent a lot of time trying to be Van Gogh painting oil. Most of the paintings were unfinished. I decided to start using watercolor based only on the recollections of what my father had tried to teach me years ago. The newer paintings are the more recent. If you go back to the beginning you can see the early stumbling ones. Archives
